I've been working like crazy to get things ready for my senior show. And guess what - I actually took progress pictures! I started in acrylic, finished in oil and tried to channel Klimt. :)
A gesso transfer is where you lay down a layer of gesso and place a photo copy on top, pressing it firmly down into the gesso. Let it dry thoroughly and then rub all the paper off by getting it wet. It's a little tricky, but you can get some cool effects with it.
